Fantasy

I was originally going for a photo-surrealistic kinda thing, but added the faux watercolor overlay because I thought it went well with the color.

Only the background was shot by me. The model is the stunningly beautiful and amazingly talented miss Alana, who also took that awesome picture of herself. The dress and birds are stock photos. I painted the wings, flowers and leaves with brushes from Obsidian Dawn. The concept is mine, and while it may be cheesy fantasy art, as Dee was kind enough to say when I showed her a preview: at least it's good cheesy fantasy art. LOL. I hope so anyway.

A really cool guy from work is leaving Best Buy to better pursue his acting career. While I wish him well on his quest, I will miss him. Fortunately, he was kind enough to ask me to take a couple of head shots of him for said acting career:

Good luck, Izzy. I know you'll be successful.

I took this photo of our lovely Pontiac Montana reflected in the wheel well of a semi, on I-30 somewhere in Arkansas, while traveling at 70 mph. It is not doctored at all, aside from color and contrast adjustments.
Once again, I have posted this here before... but once again, this one is much better! LOL.

haven't been photo-ing, nor photoshopping much lately, but i have been taking some more photoshop tutorials online, and learning. i learned a great, simple way to mask out the sky (or anything else!) in a photo, in order to make adjustments to different areas without spending an hour 'painting' the mask on. This is my first use of the technique, to bring out the clouds and sky in the windows, without making the rest of the shot too dark. this pic was taken at nashville international airport in july, 2004. i've posted it here before, but this version is about a billion times better. lol.

most of you know that i work for a 'consumer electronics retailer'. some of you know, i work for the consumer electronics retailer: best buy. the other day, circuit city showed why they are, and always have been, our evil twin. in the aftermath, i had two of their managers walk into my store - still in their circuit city uniforms - looking for jobs. aside from the stupidity of firing 3400 of your most successful employees, does anyone have any idea what this does to the remaining employees?
i understand that cc is desperately trying to find a way to get back to the top, but in my... (more)
